I honestly donât understand why it took me so long to create mango jam, but now itâs here & Iâm so happy to share it with everyone!
Â
Ok, ok – it took me so long because the only thing I do with mango is make a mango nice-cream. But since itâs not summer anymore & I had frozen mango, I thought it would be great to experiment a bit & cook it.
Â
What can I say – I have brilliant ideas đ And I can share them with everyone!
Â
Ingredients are utterly simple – all you need is a mango, orange & cloves. If you like it sweet, feel free to add some honey or whatever you usually use, when itâs done.
Â
Mango is one of my favorite fruits ever; itâs so vibrant, beautiful & of course, nutritious! Itâs rich in vitamin C, A, folate & contains vitamins K and E.
Of course, as all veggies and fruits, it will provide us with fiber, glorious fiber – making our gut happy.
It also contains copper, magnesium, potassium and even calcium and iron.
All together, mango contains around 20 vitamins & minerals.
But thatâs not even all – mango also contains a couple of powerful antioxidants, including beta-carotene, Â zeaxanthin, quercetin & astragalin. Yummy!
Â
Mangos are great for maintaining bloog sugar, blood pressure, as well as for healthy brain & heart.
Iâd say that makes it a nice addition to your daily foods!
Â
Our next ingredient is orange. Oranges are amazing; Iâd guess you know theyâre a great source of vitamin C, but they also contain thiamin, folate & potassium.
Aside from that, oranges will provide us with antioxidants, such as flavonoids and carotenoids.
There nutrients make oranges a good choice for our gut & heart health.
Oranges are also a great source of citrates and citric acids – it is said that these are helpful as a prevention of kidney stones. (1)
Â
Cloves are one of my favorite spices, I use them for sweet & savory dishes, and in beverages, they have such a distinct aroma; totally amazing.
Cloves contain vitamin C & K, and a bit of calcium & magnesium.
But where they really shine is their antioxidant content, especially eugenol, which is super powerful. Itâs shown that eugenol is 5 times more powerful than vitamin E! (2) How awesome is that?!
Eugenol is great for cancer prevention & has positive effects on liver health.
Â
Long story short, this jam is one of the BEST choices you can make today to improve your overall wellbeing!
Did I mention itâs delicious? đ
