HAZELNUT GRANOLA

Homemade delicious granola

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups (ca 300g) rolled oats
  • 1.5 cups (200g) hazelnuts
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp carob powder
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil cold-pressed
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup (250g) apple sauce
  • 1/2-1 cup raisins or goji berries optional, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all dry ingredients.

  2. In a small sauce pan, melt coconut oil and combine it with apple sauce and maple syrup.

  3. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and combine.

  4. Pour the mixture to the parchment lined baking sheet, spread it evenly and bake for ca. 20 minutes.

  5. After 20 minutes, take the baking sheet out, toss the granola around, separating bigger chunks.

  6. Bake for another 15 minutes.

  7. Take it out, let it cool down completely.

  8. Store in an air-tight containers. I store it in the ziplock bags in the fridge - it stays fresh for 2 weeks.
