QUICK WHOLE GRAIN SPELT BREAD

Ingredients

Basic:

  • 1.5 oz (42g) fresh yeast
  • 2.1 cups (500ml) lukewarm water
  • 3 1/3 cups (500g) whole grain spelt flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar

Extras:

  • 1 cup (150g) seeds, nuts, dried fruits, oats amount in cups may differ depending on the ingredients
  • Spices of your choice; all-spice & cinnamon are my favorites
  • 3/4 cups (100g) different flour

In this recipe:

  • 1/3 cup (50g) sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup (50g) flax seeds
  • 1/3 cup (50g) sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. Line your loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Put an oven-safe cup of water at the bottom of your oven & preheat the oven at  350°F / 180 ºC.

  3. Dissolve yeast in water.

  4. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.

  5. Add water and yeast mixture, as well as apple cider vinegar. You can easily mix it all up with a wooden spoon.

  6. Pour the dough in the prepared loaf pan & bake for ca 60 minutes.

  7. Take bread out, put it out of the pan, remove the paper and let it cool.

  8. When cool, enjoy with your family!
